DoD SBIR Phase IIDeep tech: defense and aerospace
Defense technology company
$1.2M Phase II after a Phase I prototype hit its milestones

The challenge
A company coming out of a successful DoD Phase I had six weeks to convert prototype results into a Phase II proposal, and needed an end user inside the service to sponsor transition. Without that sponsorship, strong technology still fails the military relevance test.
What we did
- Translated Phase I test results into transition-focused work packages tied to an identified end user need.
- Wrote the technical volume, transition plan and cost volume against the solicitation checklist.
- Ran a compliance pass against every instruction in the solicitation before submission through DSIP.
The result
A Phase II award of $1.2M over two years, with a named end user sponsor and a defined path to Phase III.
